Week In Review

Well, I just finished a grueling week. I did my tour of the South and to save on expenses I decided to drive some of the way. I would not recommend doing that! Even though I live in Florida and you have to drive to everything, I live in an area of town that, for at least me, everything in in a 4 mile radius. So driving to Greenville, SC and Birmingham, AL was a somewhat of a stretch for me.

This upcoming week I am off to Boston, MA. It has been a long time since I have been back to Boston. As a matter of fact, Boston was one of the very first places I visited when I decided to become a companion. So to say the least, I am very much looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones.

For those of you who have been asking me when I am going to put up the new pics on my site. It will be soon! I know I keep saying that but keep in mind I have over 700 pics to go through and narrow it down to 15. That is a very long and time consuming process so please be patient and I promise I will get them up there as soon as possible.

Well, I hope all of you have a wonderful upcoming week. Try not to work to hard and play to little.

Cult of Diana

I just finished reading a very interesting book by New York Times columnist, Maureen Dowd titled Are Men Necessary; When The Sexes Are Equal. The book basically challenges the traditional roles of the genders. As more and more women are breaking the "glass ceiling" do men feel threatened????

As the book explored this topic it question all traditional roles of the genders. And it lead to an interesting theory that maybe one day in the far, far, far future men will be obsolete....sort of a "Cult of Diana" where men will be there just for us women as trophies, as status symbols, as entertainment....etc.

I mean think of it. Women who are self sufficient. Women who can reproduce without men. Women who run the world in lieu of men (imagine what that would be like). I mean as society has progressed so has the roles of women. I mean now in some households women make more money than their significant others. They are running fortune 500 companies, racing in NASCAR events, buying homes, starting small businesses. There is really no stopping women....we want it all and we demand it all.

If you get a chance pick up the book and read it. And please let me know what you think about a world without men.

Stay The Night

You're kissing me and saying I'm the one you need to keep you warm and lay with you tonight
Baby I feel the same way, I don't want to leave I want to hold you close and feel your love
But I don't want to play myself, because I know you are with someone else and don't need complications in my life
And I don't want to fall back in and get caught up in you again, boy I'm so conficted in my mind

You keep saying stay the night, just let me hold til the morning light, its cold outside and much to late to drive
You know I need baby I'm so lost without your love

Obviously, procrastinating just to be close to you a little longer
It's hard for me to break away from you baby never could resist you and I still haven't learned how
I don't want to be a fool but it's hard when it comes to you and I'm feeling vulnerable tonight
I don't want to miss the chance of reliving our sweet romance boy I'm so confused down deep inside.

What Happens In Vegas Doesn't Always Stay In Vegas

Hello everyone, well I just came back from a wonderful girls weekend in Vegas. I get together once a year with my soroity sisters from college and we have a fantastic weekend together. This year we decided to go to Las Vegas to bring some "culture" to the town. I know this might surprise some of you but I actually did some gambling, but I did control myself and when the money was gone I stopped.
My friends and I went to see the newest Cirque de Solei production "Love" based on the music of the Beatles'. What a magnificent show!!! I mean the things these people can do with their bodies is simply amazing. But that wasn't the most interesting part of the evening. After the show we decided to hit some of the hottest night spots on the Vegas strip. As my luck would have it I happened to run into a former lover. What is the famous Humphrey Bogart line "of all the gin joints in the world, she happened to walk into this one".

All I can say is thank God I was looking my best; because this person made a bee line to come and talk to me. I found it comical because this was the same person who left me for another. I guess living well is truly the best revenge. Maybe this will inspire me to write a beautiful poem stay tuned for further developments.

Besos,
Cameron
